What We Believe
We believe that God is three in one. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is a divine picture of loving community.
We believe Jesus was fully man and fully God. He came to forgive our sins, restore our broken relationship with himself, and give us a way to follow.
We believe in the Holy Spirit. He empowers the church to follow the way of Jesus for the renewal of our world. We believe the gifts of the spirit are for today.
We believe the scriptures are the infallible word of God. They were written by people of God inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Humanity was made in God’s image, and therefore good. However, evil (sin) has corrupted people and our world. Jesus is the only answer to our restoration back to who we were originally created to be.
In the bible, the word for salvation and the word for healing are one and the same. Salvation is Jesus bringing healing and wholeness to us and our world, both in this age and the age to come.
The church is made up of the multi-ethnic family of God. Anyone who follows Jesus is part of the universal church. We believe that God uses the church, in all its local expressions, to partner with Him in the renewal of all things.
We practice adult baptism by full immersion in water. This is a defining moment in many Christians lives. It is an outward expression of an inward decision follow Jesus.
We believe in practicing the Lord’s Supper. We do this in our Dinner Parties around the dinner table, just like the early church did in the book of Acts.
We believe in the resurrection of Jesus. We believe at the end of this age, all followers of Jesus will be resurrected into a new heaven and a new earth.
The kingdom of heaven is what Jesus talked about more than anything else. Jesus mission was not to take us to heaven, but to bring the kingdom of heaven here on earth. Jesus is our king, we are his people, and his reign is good and beautiful.
